About
The Haynes Foundation's Critical Incident Forums have been running since 2015 and act as a mental health seminar for first responders. The morning includes a panel discussion with representatives from Police Command and TPA with breakfast provided.Keynote speaker, Senior Sergeant Lindsay Black from the Bomb Disposal Unit will also speak on his experience. In April 2014, S/Sgt Black attended a farm house in Derrinallum after an offender was threatening self harm with explosives. After a 7 hour siege and despite intense negotiations the offender detonated the explosive devise injuring two members. S/Sgt Black will relay his story of resilience and how he overcame his injuries and trauma relating to the explosion.
