The premiere winter event in the Livingstone Shire, the fourth biennial Capricorn Coast Writers Festival will be held from 30 May to 1 June 2025. It’s for readers and writers and people who love to hear stories and meet new people. Yeppoon is the perfect setting to hear and share stories by the sea and, thanks to the support of the Livingstone Shire Council, Keppel Coast Arts and local businesses, the line up for this year’s festival is exceptional.
Inviting celebrated Australian authors to the region and showcasing the talent of local authors has always been a goal of the festival. The guest authors at this year’s festival will include, Aleesah Darlison, Richard Yaxley, Geneve Flynn, Barbara Hannay, Jack Roney and Gary Crew. Festival goers can meet all these authors at the festival opening event on Friday 30 May and join them for their individual workshops over the weekend.
