CROCHET RAG RUGSFriday, 28 March – 9.30 – 11.30am
In this class you will learn the method of preparing the sheet yarn (‘sh-arn’) and making a crochet Rag Rug. This includes plenty of tips and tricks for making it a simple and enjoyable project. You will go away from this workshop with the beginnings of your masterpiece rug! **Participants must be able to do basic crochet including slip & chain stitch, as well as single (US)/double crochet (UK).
The class fee is $40 and includes tuition, a crochet hook and class notes. BYO: at least 2 pieces of clean bed linen – time to clean out the linen cupboard or visit the op shop - quilt covers and flat sheets work well.
Your Tutor: Cathie has been sewing most of her life and is passionate about everything handmade. She is now a quilter, bag maker & designer, fabric & yarn artist and has dabbled in pretty much every craft imaginable. Cathie is committed to teaching the foundational skills of many of the traditional crafts.
