Christopher Boone is a fifteen-year-old boy, gifted at Maths and Astronomy who has difficulty negotiating the “real world”. In Christopher’s eyes, the problem is not him, but the “real world”. This is only confirmed when he investigates the killing of his neighbour’s dog, an inquiry which uncovers a tangled web of family secrets and deception. This sends him on a journey of adventure and danger where trying to reconnect with your family and navigate London’s Underground is like sailing solo around Cape Horn in a hurricane. The Curious Incident of the dog in the Night-time uses inventive ensemble movement and theatre technology to provide a unique, engaging and ultimately uplifting “coming of age” journey.
