RCAT has partnered with the Queensland Government, through Jobs Queensland (JQ), to lead the development of a ‘Grow Your Own’ workforce plan with cross-sector skills development and locally led solutions.The Maranoa Workforce Plan will be an industry-led, community centred approaches to drive local solutions to workforce challenges. The Grow Your Own Regional Workforce model is about looking at the workforce that is available locally and upskilling, reskilling and developing strategies to address the future Maranoa workforce needs collaboratively and locally.
The industries of focus in the Maranoa Workforce Plan are mining, manufacturing, construction, retail trade, accommodation and food services and health care and social assistance industries.
