Sydney Forro Festival 2025

About
Get ready to sway to the rhythms of Brazil, as Sydney Forró Dance brings you an electrifying festival that promises to be the highlight of your year!
This year, we are excited to welcome two extraordinary teachers from Pé Descalço (Brazil): Luiz Henrique do Carmo and Juzinha!
Luiz Henrique’s journey with Forró began in 2013, and in just a year, he reached the highest level of Pé Descalço, earning the prestigious Colar Vermelho. Since then, he has become a renowned teacher, examiner, and director at Pé Descalço Eldorado, sharing his deep knowledge and passion across 22 countries spanning Asia, Europe, and South America. In 2024, he further cemented his legacy by winning the professional category of the Forró Dança Tournament in Itaúnas, Brazil. With his innovative style and years of experience, Luiz will help you refine your technique and embrace the joy of Forró like never before!
Joining him is the phenomenal Juzinha, Pé Descalço’s most senior follower! She began dancing at just 8 years old, reached the school’s highest level by 12, and quickly became a teacher. Today, she co-owns a Pé Descalço unit and plays a pivotal role in managing the largest Forró school in the world. Known for her powerful presence, impeccable technique, and deep musicality, she brings a wealth of experience not just from Forró, but also from zouk, gafieira, and jazzfunk. Her classes inspire both leaders and followers to explore expressive movement and connection in their dance.
Don’t miss this chance to be part of something truly special. Grab your dancing shoes, bring your friends, and let's create memories that will last a lifetime at the Sydney Forró Festival 2025!
