Plaster Wall Plaques - Working with Clay & Plaster of Paris.
In this workshop participants will begin by rolling out a clay slab.
After a short period of experimentation, they will then proceed to create a 3d design into the surface of the clay by pressing objects, textures, free modelling &/or gouging.
The completed 3d negative image will then be framed up and placed on a base board.
Plaster of Paris will then be mixed up and poured into the negative 3d mould and left to set.
Once the plaster has set, the framing and original clay will be removed revealing the finished plaster plaque, ready to be washed, cleaned, and ready for a surface finish to be applied.
Half Day Workshop - All Materials supplied
Wear protective clothing / old clothes. Morning tea provided
