Research Informed Professional Learning in Schools - A Forum for Educators

Join with colleagues from across sectors to explore the nexus between research and teacher professional learning on Thursday 5 June 2025. Questions we will consider include:
- How do different approaches to practitioner research support professional growth?
- What characterises research projects that promote rich learning opportunities for preservice and inservice teachers?
- How can educators across sectors collaborate successfully to advance research that informs and enhances teachers’ professional learning?
- What has worked for others in forming sustainable partnerships to build research and professional growth cultures in schools?
This one-day forum is designed to inspire and provoke professional discussion and expand education research networks. Associate Professor Matthew Winslade (Charles Sturt University) will present the keynote address. Spotlights and a Panel Discussion involving a range of presenters on current research-professional learning partnerships between schools, universities and other organisations will spark ideas for new initiatives. Roundtable discussion sessions will involve all attendees in actively sharing practice in their contexts.
