"Empowering Communities Through Trauma-Informed Sport for Bicultural Workers" focuses on the integration of trauma-informed practices within sports programs to support bicultural workers and their communities. The presentation emphasizes on the importance of understanding and addressing the emotional and psychological impacts of trauma in individuals, particularly for refugees and migrants who may face additional challenges due to settlement, cultural differences, language barriers, family separation etc. It highlights how trauma-informed sport can serve as a powerful tool to build resilience, foster connection, and create a safe space for healing and empowerment.Presenters: Kate Thomas & Jessica Scannell, Welcoming Clubs
