TASTE OF CRUELTY (SOLD OUT)
About
In a work that is at once beautiful, absurd, and moving, Taste of Cruelty blends performance art, theatre, dance, and verbatim text to explore the aftermath of sexual assault. Through an interdisciplinary approach that both plays into and subverts expectations, Sara and Ethan use the body as a point of departure to examine themes of dominance, fear, and resilience—while pushing back against simplistic narratives of healing and hope. With moments of dark humor and tenderness, Taste of Cruelty offers a bashful, absurdist attempt to make sense of the ramifications of misogyny.Created, directed and performed by Sara Cowdell and Ethan Morse.
