About the artists
Annaliesa Rose is a versatile singer, musician and composer, fresh off the back of two recent tours to the Czech Republic and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival (☆☆☆☆). In Australia she is in demand as a jazz singer with performances with a wide range of ensembles in leading jazz venues up and down eastern Australia. Her debut album with Miroslav Bukovsky, Michael Bartolomei, Phil Stack and Tim Firth, titled Is That Jazz? which is available for purchase and streaming on Bandcamp and all streaming services.
John Burgess is in demand for his lyrical electric bass guitar sound as well as acoustic double bass. He has developed a unique and alluring sound world using electric double bass interfacing with computer technology, drawing upon diverse genres from jazz to classical to modern electronic music. John was selected as 1 of 4 soloists chosen from around the world to perform in the YouTube Symphony Orchestra, performing at the Sydney Opera House in March 2011. He was a finalist in the Spacetime Concerto Competition 2012 held by the Newcastle Conservatory of Music, where he performed Rodrigo's Concierto de Aranjuez as an improvised modern interpretation on the electric double bass. He returned to the Conservatory again in 2013 as the artist in residence, where he presented lectures about his work, concluding with a solo concert showcasing his original compositions.

Daryl Wallis is an accomplished pianist, composer, sound designer and musical director. He won first prize in the 2012 Federation Bells Composing Competition, the 2013 Sydney Theatre Award for Best Score & Sound Design in a Mainstage Production with Elena Kats-Chernin for the Ensemble Theatre production of Frankenstein, and the Green Room award as musical director for The Strange Bedfellows. His current projects include the cabarets Disenchanted & Carmen the Cabaret with Eliane Morel; The Peter Allen Songbook with Annaliesa Rose, and Leonard Cohen Koans with Ali Hughes. Theatre projects include the Harold Pinter double of The Lovers and The Dumb Waiter at Ensemble Theatre and The Seven with The Strangeways Ensemble at Merrigong Theatre Co.
