Ethnography in Tourism and Hospitality ResearchAssociate Professor Edwin Torres
Originally devised by anthropologists as a means to study culture, ethnographies are now used in multiple fields including hospitality, tourism, and services marketing. In this session, you will learn more about some of the key decisions at the onset of a study, the development of field notes, and how to best use them to write an ethnographic narrative.
You will be exposed to different means of analysis in order to critically examine qualitative data. Finally, the ethical consideration for ethnographers will be discussed.
