Valpolicella in Four Acts - Public Wine Event
In Venice, winemaking is an art form, and few regions perform quite like Valpolicella.
Using the same core cast of native grapes – Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara –
this region produces famous red wine styles, from full-bodied and dark through to
crisp and refreshing.
Join Jay Bessell for a four-part journey through the iconic wines of Valpolicella,
discovering how one set of grapes can tell wildly different stories through unique
winemaking techniques. Along the way, we'll explore what makes these wines so
coveted, rare, and internationally adored.
Our journey will explore:
Valpolicella – light, crisp, and refreshing
Ripasso – smooth, full-bodied, and warming
Amarone – bold, concentrated, and wildly indulgent; and
Recioto – lush, sweet, and liquid gold
Expect seven wines, perfectly paired small plates, and a touch of theatre to bring
these Venetian treasures to life for $175 per head.
