The QFNC are proud and excited to welcome David Schwarz to our club, on Tuesday 29th April at 7.15pm, where he will share his incredible journey with us.
A former AFL player with the Melbourne Football Club, David was forced to overcome significant personal challenges after a career-ending injury and a battle with gambling addiction.
Despite setbacks, he went on to win the club's 1999 Best and Fairest award and played a key role in the
2000 Grand Final.
Since retiring in 2002, David has become a prominent speaker and advocate for responsible gambling, mental health, and addiction recovery. He's also a partner at Assembled Media and My Hab, a trauma and addiction treatment center. David's work includes hosting national radio shows and mentoring corporate and community organisations.
In light of QFNC's commitment to the mental health and wellbeing of our players and the wider community we are thrilled to offer this free event.
