The Psychological Assessment Tools Workshop Series aims to enhance knowledge and ensure that clinical practice among RCH psychologists remains up to date.Learning Objectives
Psychologists will:
1. Increase knowledge of different assessment tools used to measure Attention and ADHD, Anxiety and OCD, Intelligence, Pain, Executive Function, Trauma, Mood and Academic Skills
2. Critically assess and compare different tools, considering their practical application and strengths and limitations with regard to clinical utility, reliability and validity
3. Actively learn about new assessment tools or updates
4. Adapt assessment methods to accommodate diverse paediatric populations
Learning Outcomes:
1. Identify and evaluate current assessment tools for each domain discussed
2. Analyse strengths & limitations of different tools
3. Be up-to-date on new/revised assessment tools and know where to find updates and resources
4. Develop strategies for diverse paediatric populations
