Are you reading classic literature with your children but would like to learn how to delve deeper into the author's ideas and facilitate more meaningful conversations? Acclaimed author, speaker, and visiting professor of literature, Joseph Pearce, will be in Melbourne to equip you with some of the required skills to achieve this goal.This is a rare opportunity for parents who want to read great literature to their upper primary and secondary school children but feel overwhelmed, under-qualified, or lack the know-how.
Joseph Pearce will present a brief talk on how to read and discuss literature as well as provide a brief demonstration with high school students. With confidence, you can pick up Homer, Shakespeare, CS Lewis, or JRR Tolkien, and let the reading and discussions in your home begin!
