Brisbane Baroque Players - För Mamma
About
Celebrate Mother’s Day with Swedish Baroque gems, brought to life on historical instruments. This program features works by lesser-known Swedish composers such as Agrell and Roman, alongside beloved Baroque masters like Bach and Telemann—each performed with a Swedish twist. Experience the distinctive sound of the Swedish folk instrument, the nyckelharpa, played by Sue Ferrers, adding a rich and expressive colour to the music.
Other highlights include Vivaldi’s Flute Concerto in D Major Op.10 No.3, "The Goldfinch", and Graupner’s Concerto in D Major for Oboe d’amore, all performed with authenticity and passion on period instruments.
This will be a truly special concert of Baroque music with a Scandinavian flavour to celebrate Mother’s Day!
