In partnership with Timber & Hardware Australia, the experts at Timber Training Creswick (RTOid #4168), will deliver this 2-day course designed for timber & wood product salespeople who need to provide comprehensive advice to customers on the correct timber to use for their applications.The course includes, but not limited to:
- Features, benefits, & limitations of timber as a product
- The lifecycle of timber products
- Timber classification & naming, wood structure and tree growth
- Wood properties (strength, durability, hardness, appearance, density etc.)
- Timber treatment, hazard levels & precautions in use of treated timber
- Log conversion processes
- Forest product certification schemes
On successful completion, participants receive a Statement of Attainment in FWPCOT3302 Access and Provide Timber and Wood Product Information.
Ticket includes access to both days. Day one will include morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea.
