Joint Effort: Optimising Outcomes for Hips, Knees and Spine
About
Musculoskeletal conditions encompass over 150 different conditions affecting bones, ligaments, connective tissue, and joints. They are the most common chronic conditions in Australia, contributing to 13% of the total disease burden. These conditions can arise from hereditary, congenital, or acquired pathologic processes.
Musculoskeletal symptoms impact all age groups and vary in presentation, ranging from acute to chronic and simple to complex.
For GPs, staying informed about advancements in these areas allows them to better guide patients toward optimal outcomes.
