About
Iglute is a weekend long introduction to lightweight snow camping, cross country skiing, snowshoeing and igloo building.This long-running event provides Venturers and linking Scouts an introduction to basic snowcraft skills and to try cross-country skiing and snowshoeing on Mt Stirling’s trails. More experienced skiers can ski to the summit and take in its glorious views, while beginning cross-country skiers can develop their formative snow mobility skills on the gentler practice slopes and nearby trails. Mt Clear loved the trip last year, gaining valuable experience of the beauty and serenity (yes) of snow camping and skiing. Additional costs are any hike gear hire needed (eg tents or sleeping bags) plus food costs.
Make sure you attend the gear check on Friday August 2 @ 7pm at the Mt Clear Scout Hall.
