About
"La Luz Dentro" takes place in Melbourne’s breathtaking Capitol Theatre, beneath a ceiling of thousands of coloured lights. Join us for a magical night of music and dance in a crystalline cave of wonder.This year’s showcase is our most expansive yet, featuring a large cast of passionate students. They are joined by an extraordinary ensemble of live musicians, coming together to bring the full force of flamenco to the stage.
The performance journeys through a range of flamenco palos and invites both performers and audience into a world of contrast—light and shadow, chaos and stillness, joy and longing. Guided by the internal flame stirring within, we transmit what flows through us all—raw emotion, shared humanity, and the mysterious beauty of the unknown.
Flamenco is an artform traditional to the Gypsies of Andalusia, and we honour its roots with deep respect and gratitude. Informed by the teachings passed down to us, we strive to share this artform with sincerity, reverence, and love.
