Leidos presents our Aviation Careers Showcase, specifically designed for schools and universities in the Cairns region.At Leidos, we conduct aerial border surveillance and search-and-rescue operations spanning the country’s exclusive economic zone and SAR region. Across Australia, we employ more than 300 people, with 100+ based in Cairns.
The aim of this showcase is to help students learn about the wide range of exciting careers available in aviation - beyond just flying for commercial airlines.
Our team will share real-life stories about airborne surveillance missions, the technology we use, and the qualifications students might pursue if they’re interested in aviation careers. We wont just focusing on future Pilots, but also Mission Aircrew and Engineering careers as well.
This will be a great chance to explore aviation as a career path, ask questions, and see how you could one day be part of meaningful missions that protect Australia’s borders and environment.
