About
Come and learn a traditional Irish tune on the fiddleAmanda is a multi-instrumentalist with a background in classical viola and recorder and over ten years experience playing the violin (fiddle). She plays regularly in Irish and English music sessions but also has interests in other European and Scandinavian folk music traditions. Although classically trained and able to read music, Amanda prefers to learn tunes by ear. Passionate about traditional music and sharing her skills, she enjoys helping others explore the joy of a good session.
Bronwyn Todd generally plays violin (fiddle) and whistles/flute. She plays by ear but can also play with music sheets, which has helped her learn a variety of tunes and playing styles from classical, to Celtic tunes and improvisation and harmonies to accompany other musicians. She loves learning techniques and affectation to enhance the sounds of instruments, with the best learning opportunities coming from playing with other musicians.
