About
Learn how to make traditional Irish potato breadIn the north of Ireland, the national dish is the Ulster Fry. That’s fried bacon, sausages, fried egg and a bit of potato bread and soda bread farls. Though the quality of Irish bacon and sausages shouldn’t be under-estimated, it’s the breads that make it unique.
Irish potato bread, or farls, is a staple everyone should know how to cook. Simple to make using only four ingredients, potato, flour, butter, and salt. They are the perfect accompaniment to an Ulster Fry
Born in Belfast Mary grew up enjoying Potato Farls and now makes them regularly. She's happy to pass on her tips to making this traditional Irish bread
