About
Introduction to playing the Bodhrán - the Irish drumMitch Hodgman is an accomplished bodhran instructor with an impressive musical background.
Mitch has established himself as a skilled and versatile percussionist, with 15 years of playing experience and several awards under his belt. He plays with Mad Kelpie Play date who won Instrumental Track of the Year at the 2019 Australian Celtic Music Awards, and he has won at both the European and UK Pipe Band Championships as a seasoned snare drummer.
As a bodhran instructor, Mitch is known for his patient and supportive teaching style. He is passionate about helping students of all levels improve their technique and musicality. Having taught in multiple countries, Mitch has experience working with adults, children, and students of all abilities.
This workshop is part of Seachtain de Chultúr na hÉireann (A Week of Irish Culture) hosted by Comhaltas Canberra and supported by the Government of Ireland Emigrant Support Program
