Australians Together Parent Workshop: Our Cultures
In the lead up to Reconciliation Week, Australians Together will be visiting Encounter Lutheran College. This workshop is an inspiring journey that helps participants unpack and reflect on what shapes us. This experience acknowledges that, in order to meaningfully engage with someone else’s culture, we first have to understand our own.
☑️ Engage in a dynamic, interactive activity that reveals how culture shapes all our identities and perspectives.
☑️ Experience the impact of cultural loss through a powerful exercise that builds empathy and awareness.
☑️ Gain foundational cultural awareness and understand why it’s important to learn about our shared history.
☑️ Ignite meaningful conversations that inspire ongoing learning and deeper cultural understanding.
The workshop is open to all families and friends from our wider community. Parents are invited to bring their children with them, but would be best suited for children in Year 3 upwards.
