Remix/Render

About
The medium is not just the message, it is the memory.Remix/Render is an exhibition of screen works produced at ECU from the year 2000 to 2025. Tracing the evolution from the Film and Video major to the current Bachelor of Screen Production, this event marks 25 years of student-made media.
As we prepare to depart the Mt Lawley campus and transition into a new space, physically and imaginatively, we pause to reflect. Remix/Render is not about nostalgia. It is an interface with the past: a curated excavation of screen works made, shaped, and transmitted through student hands and the technologies of their time. From the tactile grain of 16mm to the analogue haze of VHS to the compressed glitches of early digital, this is an archaeology of perception. A study of how tools shape stories, and how form conditions content.
