We are pleased to bring Foster and Kinship Carers of the NT a specialised training program by Child Australia, designed to equip carers with trauma-informed practices to better support the children in their care.Join in for a half-day workshop on Wednesday, June 4, from 9:30 am - 2 pm, where Child Australia will provide valuable insights into the effects of trauma on brain development and practical strategies for self-regulation.
Learning outcomes:
-Understand trauma and its impact on brain development
-Learn how self-regulation is connected to the brain
-Recognise signs of trauma in children
-Unpack the five domains of self-regulation
-Explore the role of co-regulation in a child’s development
-Apply trauma-informed principles of care in your role
Beverages and light catering will be provided.
