Rumi Owner Joe once served Anthony a feast in Melbourne.He loves what our club is about, and that we celebrate Bourdain Day, so has offered to re create the meal he served the man himself
Ticket covers food, drinks will be available via a cash bar
To Start:
Lebanese and Iranian pickled vegetables (v, vg)
Labne, from house made yoghurt (v)
Almond taratoor (v, vg)
Sigara Boregi, cheese cigars filled w/ Haloumi, feta and kasseri (v)
Followed by:
Soft shell prawns, baharat spiced w/ tahini sauce
Quail kebab, in a saffron marinade w/ verjus and grape molasses
Lamb ribs, w/ toum and zataar
Persian meatballs, cooked in tomato and saffron, w/ labne
Caramelised eggplant "Mnazleh", braised w/ tomatoes and green peppers (v)
Persian rice pilaf, w/ walnuts & raisins (v)
Cos & herb salad, w/ radishes, sweet& sour dressing
To Finish:
Dried apricots, filled w/ kasseri and poached in arak
