🎤 Guest Speakers will highlight the extent of youth crime, it’s devastating impact on victims and the Cairns community, and the drivers of youth crime.
Keith Hamburger AM, former Director General, QLD Corrective Services Commission will present a justice reform model that will:
- Place community safety first
- Take youth offenders off the street early and greatly reduce repeat offending
- Give courts more and better sentencing options - reduce recidivism
- Empower local communities to design and deliver local solutions to youth crime
- Save lives and reduce harm in the community and save billions of dollars
