The life of a film typically commences many years before it reaches events like the St Kilda Film Festival - or even your family’s lounge-room wall. Those with experience know it can be a process of endless drafts and edits, feedback from person and their dog…and then there’s what happens in pre-production or on set when your baby is in the hands of a director or editor.This session features a screening of several short films from this year’s program that take the craft of writing to the next level and signpost writers who are prepared to make a statement, take a risk and push directors, producers, and performers all the way.
