2025 Basketry - Coil Basket Techniques
About
This workshop is suitable for those with some coiling experience, including those who attended Workshop 1.Topics covered include:
• Introduction of wrapping stitch and spiral stitch
• How to start the upward angle of the sides
• How to control the angle of the sides
• How to finish with a continuous edge
All materials will be provided, and participants can take home the work they have completed, and enough raffia to finish a small basket.
Please bring your own chenille needle and scissors, and a coiled base (which you started in Workshop 1), big enough to start the upward angle of the sides.
The workshop will last 2 hours.
