2025 Basketry - Making patterns with Colour and Spacing
About
This workshop is suitable for those with some coiling experience, including those who attended Workshop 1.Topics covered include:
• The arithmetic of repeating patterns
• Making two-colour patterns with two stitch colours
• Making patterns using spacing
• Stitch doubling as the pattern expands
All materials will be provided, and participants can take home the work they have completed, and enough raffia to finish a small basket.
Please bring your own chenille needle and scissors, and the start of a coiled base, at least 5 cm in diameter, which you will use to start your paterns.
The workshop will last 2 hours.
