World Lindy Hop Day Tea Dance - Swing Dance Adelaide

About
Learn to swing dance and celebrate World Lindy Hop Day with Swing Dance Adelaide!
Join us for a beginner-friendly Lindy Hop class, followed by two sets of live music with Danica's Dreamers (Jazz Quartet) and social dancing; all accompanied by tea, coffee and baked goods! This event is open to all (brand new or established dancers, jazz fans, and everybody in between!), with subsidised tickets available for residents of the Norwood, Payneham and St Peters council area.
World Lindy Hop Day celebrates and honours the dancers, musicians and individuals who created, sustained, innovated and shared the African American social dance of Lindy Hop with the world. Held annually on the 26th of May, the day Frankie Manning was born in 1914, World Lindy Hop Day is a day for us to come together as a community to acknowledge the deep history of Lindy Hop, swing and jazz, introduce new faces to the community, and celebrate our love of the dance with each other.
