About
A timely documentary theatre project led by international director and designer Azadeh Nasirloo, exploring the complex transmission of intergenerational trauma. Rooted in real-life testimony, archival material, and evocative dramatized reenactment, the production gives voice to the lived and inherited experiences of individuals across time, place, and culture.Through a blend of intimate storytelling, multimedia design, and rigorous research, Inheritance examines how unspoken histories—of violence and silence—shape the emotional landscapes of future generations. Drawing on voices from diverse communities, the work uncovers patterns of inherited memory and emotional resonance, challenging the boundaries between personal and collective identity.
This work is not only a portrayal of inherited pain but also a gesture toward healing. It opens space for reflection, empathy, and dialogue in an era increasingly attuned to the psychological legacies of the past.
