Standard Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Training

Are you interested to support your group in Mental health? As part of the Brimbank Community Governance Program, Brimbank Council is offering a 2-day Standard Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training in the Community Setting course to community leaders in Brimbank.This course teaches participants how to provide initial support to another adult who may be experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis, until professional help is received, or the crisis resolves.
Participants will learn:
- about the signs and symptoms of common mental health problems in a friend, family member, loved one or another adult,
- to recognize and respond to an emerging or worsening mental health problem,
- treatments and supports available.
Participants must attend both days. At the end of the 2 day training, participants will receive a nationally recognized Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Certificate
