Junior School - Astronomy Program - Look Up
Year 6 girls are invited to participate in Tara's exciting new Junior School astronomy program Look Up! This optional co-curricular opportunity will run across Terms 2 and 3 and is open to approximately 30 Year 6 students.
Led by Senior School Science/Astronomy Coordinator Mrs Jennie Young and supported by Junior School staff, Look Up! offers hands-on astronomy experiences using the School’s Oxford telescope and handheld scopes. Students will explore the night sky, learn to use star maps, and deepen their understanding of space through guided sessions.
Dates & Cost:
$25 for 7 sessions on the following dates:
Term 2: May 21, June 11, June 25
Term 3: July 30, August 13, August 27, September 10
Meeting and Pick up Location:
Girls will meet outside the School Chapel for a 6pm start and 7pm collection.
What to Bring:
Students will need a warm jacket, and water bottle.
Supervision:
Teacher supervision provided. Parents are welcome to stay but are not required.
