Canadian-born, Melbourne-based singer/songwriter Brian Campeau has built a career defined by adventurous songwriting and genre-melding arrangements.Known for reinventing his sound with each release, his latest record draws inspiration from country, bluegrass, and even Swiss yodelling, which is woven into Brian's signature blend of folk, indie rock, and experimentalism.
He cites influences from artists like Angel Olsen, Jimmie Rodgers, Melanie Oesch, and Franzl Lang - as well as Aussies Laneous, Elana Stone and Tamara Murphy. But his long-time influences of Nick Drake, Beck and Bjork still lurk in the background.
