Dancehall open-level class typically provides an introduction to the fundamentals of this vibrant, sexy and empowering Jamaican dance style, focusing on basic steps, techniques, and cultural context. Classes generally start with a relaxing warm-up to Reggae music, followed by learning signature Dancehall moves and choreography.Instructor Maya Sheridan encourages and emphasises creating a fun and positive environment where everyone can express their unique personalities through dance . These classes are suitable for all skill levels and aim to build confidence, coordination, and a deeper appreciation for Dancehall culture.
WHAT TO WEAR
Footwear
Runners or sneakers.
Clothing
Non-restrictive activewear/streetwear such as track pants, tights, long shorts, t-shirt or singlet top.
