We're currently fundraising to reinstate electricity to Monkani Guide Hall on Cochrane Street, Brighton – the place our Ranger Guides their meeting home each week.The total cost of repairs exceeds $8,000, which is a huge burden for our not-for-profit organisation. All our leaders are volunteers, and we rely on community support to continue offering girls a place to grow in confidence, leadership, and friendship.
The hall electricity power has been turned off by power authority for defected reason "re wiring of meter panel". The current unprotected mains cable is the original cable from installation and is very brittle, so any meter panel wiring is not possible the site required a complete rewire and removal of asbestos.
