Beyond Reactions: Mental Health Training for Allergy Health Professionals6-Hour Hands-On Workshop
Led by psychologists Emma Warner & Monique Kerr (Allergy Support Hub) and Dr Richard Nolan (Perth Allergy), this interactive workshop will support you to:
• Understand the key signs, symptoms, and early precursors of allergy-related mental health issues
• Learn about allergy anxiety and its impact across the lifespan
• Apply trauma-informed care in allergy settings
• Build skills through role play, case studies & expert insights
• Strengthen patient communication through empathy and validation
• Learn practical strategies, including take home resources for use in clinic
• Clear understanding of therapeutic options and referral pathways
• Enhance confidence in managing PTSS in allergy care
Open to ASCIA members and associate members currently working in allergy care.
A preparatory 1.5 hours webinar (live or recorded) in August is required.
