As part of Law Week 2025, attendees at this event will gain insight into the work of the Launceston Magistrates Court, the development and use of specialist courts such as the mental health diversion list, court mandated drug diversion programme and the youth justice list. The role of technology and the way it has impacted and facilitated the work of the Court will also be addressed. This presentation will be delivered by a serving Launceston Magistrate.Numbers are limited. Approx 1 hour duration.
This event is free of charge but bookings are essential. Please note that photo ID must be presented on arrival. The Magistrates Court reserves the right to refuse entry to any person.
