About
Midwinter Words is an annual writers’ weekend. This year’s event will be held at the Boronggook Library, Drysdale and the Bayview Room, Parks Hall, Portarlington on July 26 and 27. Clare Strahan, author and lecturer at RMIT, will present a workshop exploring elements of short fiction from 10 am to 3 pm on July 26 followed by readings from the workshop. Flash fiction writing exercises with a facilitator will be presented on July 27 in the Bayview Room from 10 am including lunch. The workshop is suitable for all levels of writing.Midwinter Words prides itself on bringing writers together for a weekend of inspiration and with only 30 places available, early bookings are encouraged. The event is presented in partnership with Geelong Regional Libraries.
