City of Newcastle invites industry professionals to a free tech talk exploring two of our most impactful emissions reduction and electrification initiatives.
This event offers a behind-the-scenes look at how we’re working with industry to enable a cleaner, smarter energy future, and what we’ve learned along the way.

What’s on the agenda

1.    Powering with Purpose
Learn how we became the first council in NSW to move to 100% renewable electricity supply for all its operations by securing a long-term Power Purchase Agreement with grid connected wind and solar farms. 

2.    Leading the Charge
Get insights into our city-wide public electric vehicle charging network, now one of the largest council-owned networks in NSW.  We’ll explore its strategic rollout, usage trends, and how it supports a transition to low-emissions transport.

Join us for an informative and engaging session covering the commercial, technical and operational journey behind these two projects.
