Dive under the sea with our Year 5 and Year 6 students in Disney's The Little Mermaid JR. This classic Disney story features all the songs from the Academy Award-winning animated film plus three new songs from the Broadway show.

With music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater, and music adapted and arranged by David Weinstein, The Little Mermaid JR. is based on the Hans Christian Andersen story and the beloved Disney film.

This musical highlights the power of friendship and courage. Ariel, a bold, curious and adventurous young mermaid, dreams of exploring the world above the sea. As Ariel ventures onto land, she quickly falls in love with Prince Eric, but her quest to win his heart becomes complicated. She makes a dangerous bargain with the evil sea witch Ursula, trading her beautiful voice for human legs. Without her voice, Ariel struggles to communicate, and Ursula’s dark magic threatens to tear apart both Ariel’s future and King Triton's underwater kingdom. With the help of her loyal sea friends Flounder and Scuttle, Ariel must find the courage to save both Prince Eric and her home, discovering the true power of love and self-expression.
