Dive under the sea with our Year 5 and Year 6 students in Disney's The Little Mermaid JR. This classic Disney story features all the songs from the Academy Award-winning animated film plus three new songs from the Broadway show.

With music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater, and music adapted and arranged by David Weinstein, The Little Mermaid JR. is based on the Hans Christian Andersen story and the beloved Disney film.

This musical highlights friendship, bravery and perseverance. Ariel, a bold, curious and adventurous young mermaid, dreams of exploring the world above the sea. As Ariel ventures onto land, she quickly falls in love with Prince Eric, but her quest to win his heart becomes a complicated task to achieve. She makes a dangerous bargain with the evil sea witch Ursula, trading her beautiful voice for human legs. Without her voice, Ariel struggles to communicate, and Ursula’s dark magic threatens to tear both Ariel’s future and King Triton's underwater kingdom apart. With help from her loyal sea friends Flounder and Scuttle, Ariel finds the courage to save both Prince Eric and her home. In doing so, she discovers the true power of love and gains the confidence to believe in herself as she takes control of her destiny!
