Gold was discovered in Ballarat in 1851, triggering the greatest alluvial gold rush the world has ever known. Our amazing living museum delivers an immersive experience from this era. There's so much to see and do :

Candle making is an extra out of pocket expense - $10.00 (bring on the day)
** Please note all roads and paths are gravel. There is some uneven ground. Main Street at Sovereign Hill is a gentle slope; however, other areas of the site are quite steep. All roads are accessible by wheelchair, but some visitors could find the gravel surfaces difficult to manage.
Please always bring : Medication in a webster pack, Companion card & concession card
