WIFT WA is excited to announce our new Film Club.In partnership with Luna Leederville, the WIFT WA Film Club will take place on the last Sunday of every second month. The event is an exclusive opportunity for WIFT Australia members based in WA to connect with one another over their shared love of cinema. The Film Club film selections will be by female filmmakers and/or celebrate female centric stories in line with the Luna's release schedule.
The first Film Club session will take place at 1:30pm on Sunday 25 May at Luna Leederville with a screening of FUNNY BIRDS, a warm and delightful comedy directed by Hana Ladoul and Marco La Via centred by the irrepressible French icon Catherine Deneuve about three generations of women who find commonality in their radically different ways of living.
After the screening, join make new friends with fellow members whilst connecting over the film at the Monkey Bar with a glass of wine or tea/coffee.
