Getting Started with your Family History (Online)
Would you like to start researching your family history, but don't know where to begin?
Join us for this online beginners course on how to plan, research, record and organise your genealogical discoveries. The course will include practical examples of family history research, information about how to access records, and tips to avoid common pitfalls. All participants will receive a range of handouts to support the course material. At the end of each session, the presenters will be available to answer questions and moderate a general discussion.
This seminar will be held over two online sessions.
- Sunday 19th October at 10am-2pm
- Sunday 26th October at 10am-2pm
Each session will include a break for lunch as well as interactive activities.
Getting Started with your Family History focuses on all Australian states and territories, as well as overseas countries including the UK, Ireland, and Germany. Those without extensive South Australian ancestry are especially invited to attend.
This event is Zoom only, with limited places, so our presenters can give their full attention to the online attendees. Handouts will also be provided digitally before the event. No recording will be made and no refunds will be given for non-attendance without notice.
Bookings essential. Bookings close the Thursday before the event.
