Legendary British filmmaker Mike Leigh returns with HARD TRUTHS; a fierce, compassionate, and often darkly humorous study of family and the thorny ties that bind us. Marianne Jean-Baptiste plays an award-winning role as Pansy, a woman wracked by fear, tormented by afflictions, and prone to raging tirades against her husband, son, and anyone who looks her way. Meanwhile, her easy-going younger sister, a single mother lives a life as different from Pansy's as their clashing temperaments. Themes of love, kinship and family duty prevail, and even through lifetimes of hurt and hardship, there is always family.

For those who want to forego the hassle of driving up, FAM is offering a coach and meal package deal which includes your film ticket, return coach transfers from Mackay CBD and a main course meal at the Pinnacle Family Hotel (drinks not included).

The coach will depart from outside Artspace, Gordon Street, at 4.00pm.

FAM members: $70pp; Non-members: $80pp

~  Battered Flathead with Chips, Salad, Tartare Sauce and Lemon 

~  1/4 Crumb Steak with Chips, Salad & Gravy
