The Kunanyi Folk Club is proud to present Euphémia, all the way from the island of Réunion. She will be supported by Emily Sheppard and Yyan Ng in a special concert showcasing the unique maloya musical culture.Euphémia is a vibrant emerging kreole singer and percussionist from La Réunion, a volcanic island located in the middle of the Indian Ocean. She began playing maloya, the traditional music from Reunion, at age five, and has since performed throughout this island with the group Maloya en Choeur. Euphémia is interested in cultural exchange, travelling the world to share her culture and discover that of others. She brings her rousing vocals, a spirit of curiosity and a welcoming heart to her first tour/residency in Australia this year. Euphémia will be supported on stage by acclaimed local musicians Emily Sheppard and Yyan Ng.
